Duffey Lake Provincial Park is surrounded by stunning views of BC's Coast Mountains. In addition to its excellent recreational possibilities including canoeing and hiking, the park protects important wildlife habitat for mountain goats, grizzly bears and black bears.
The Duffey Lake/Cayoosh Creek Valley was historically used as a travel route between the Stl'alt'imx First Nation on the Fraser River and the Lillooet First Nation on Lillooet Lake. The area was important to these First Nations for food gathering, hunting, and trapping. Duffey Lake is now a stop along BC's Coast Mountain Circle Tour, a two to four day exploration of the Coast Mountains by road.
